To everyone:

This is the most worthless piece I've crap that I've ever encountered. I've been making cigs for my husband for years now and saw this on RYO and ordered. I can't get the hang of it much less a cigarette. Went to the Website. Its worthless too. I've emailed. I've asked to send the machine back etc etc. No replies. I'd offer it for sale but I don't want anyone else to get this piece of junk.

I'm just so glad I'm not responsible for another, apparently you just missed our "discovery".....to be 100% honest, I knew it wouldn't stack up (1 day prior) before it was officially announced, but what was I to do???
I figured Dave wanted to catalog the various makers regardless, heartfelt apologies to Smokin' n Jokin', however, someone always has to take the plunge in order for progress to take place, so thanks, and lets hope more people look here first!!!!

Just a short note to at least advise everyone I did get an email from RYO advising that I can return the product to them and then we will iron out the particulars after its returned.

Hmmm. I wrote to RYO and Three Easy Butts too, heard from them but not from RYO.
Here are a few excerpts from the letter from the MFG and my answers.

In a message dated 7/30/07 10:37:31 AM US Mountain Standard Time, ralph@turbomaticmachines.com writes:

"We have sold literally thousands of these machines"

All I can say to that is you can look forward to having thousands of unhappy customers.

"If you would like to call me, I believe I can help you use the machine to your satisfaction."

I seriously doubt that. Have you ever even used this machine, or do you even know anyone that has used it?

"We are able to make perfectly good cigarettes at the rate of approximately 3-to-1 against the competitive brands."

The only thing your machine would be faster than is growing your own tobacco, then curing it, then shipping it to Venezuela to have it made into cigarettes.

Here are just a few things wrong with this piece of crap........

This thing is an absolute 100% totally useless piece of junk. It's three handhelds but instead of sliding the case you pull a lever. I'll write a review in a couple of days but I wanted to post this in case anybody was thinking about buying one. If I had paid $15.95 for it I would have felt like I got ripped off. I'm kinda glad I got it though, it's destined to become a collectors item in 90 days or less. The company does have somewhat of a website. it's www.turbomaticmachines.com

I don't see a $60 machine, it looks like a big plastic handheld (where its going to go unless someone tells me I'm missing something). The time consuming aspect of any manual machine is filling the chamber, how does this save time?

i didn't know where to put it...it had "matic" in the title so I guess that's how I plugged it
I wasn't going to say anything, because my fingers are always crossed that SnJ will find something he likes again....in a private mail to a forum friend, I said the same thing you just did.......you still have to load each chamber.......
I personally (can you tell?) have gotten hooked on the matics....I don't want to see them die.....
and since I'm back....chat starts here, rather than post again......speaking of stripped nuts, I have a release plate stuck together that I can't get the nut off for the life of me, and then my Supermatic threw the rivnut, with a stripped nut stuck on, again, can't get it off.......now I am totally boggled as to what to do......I don't believe I am capable of "setting" a rivnut, and to what point when I don't use that one....I have the unused warranty and am going to ask Premier if they might replace my machine with another possibly larger nozzled one, just to see if it would fill like my Ult's, and if so, it would definately be the best one.......
looks to me like the RoyaleMatic and Ultimatic 7/32 nuts are ok to just hold the gripper plate on, but not to hold the actual release.......even the Arbro ones are dangerous and tightening "just to" is ever so important,,,,
please wish me luck.......the machines I like better than the tobacco

Yeah, I'm cursing them for calling a slider a 'matic. There's no description and the whole machine isn't visible. For $60 there's got to be more to it.

Re: Turbo-MaticIt is a crank machine. In the picture the thing you see with the round handle is just a cover with tampers for the chambers. it's difficult to tell but the crank is on the side in the picture. It looks more like a lever than a crank. The only thing I could find out about it is that it is made in Ohio and is supposedly an exclusive to RYO at this time. I lightened the picture up so you can see the crank a little better.

Thanks. I was wondering what that was on the side, a lever action makes sense. First mention of the machine [link] says that Cheap Tobacco stores are/will be carrying them as well. Looking forward to your review.

I seen one of these in the Cheap Tobacco shop in Lorain, Ohio. the one they had sitting out with all the rest of their display machines didn't work. I couldn't get it to do anything, and I must have waisted 15 minutes fiddling around with it! I hate to say it, but I think it is junk. The price was $42 I believe. Capt Mike
